Ethan Bailey is a senior brand and marketing leader currently at Chipotle, overseeing brand activations and partnerships in their Central South Region. Previously, Ethan spent over 6 years as a brand marketer at Nike, working in Football and Employee Experience.
As a veteran sports and brand marketer, Ethan has an innate sense on where the culture is going, what is relevant and who are the people pushing the culture forward.
After more than 14 years of providing innovative, insights-driven brand and sports marketing experiences and strategy, Ethan continues to tap into his personal passions and relationships to keep the big ideas on the forefront of his marketing leadership. He prides himself on his ability to build activations that authentically integrate culture, while showcasing the essence of the brand. Whether that's identifying an athlete whose mission is in alignment with the brand, or launching media partnerships with emerging talent and creatives.
Not just to drive sales, because that’s a given, but to think beyond P & L by really bringing cultural experiences to life through digital first content and media campaigns and brand activations that shift brand relationships from short term to long term meaningful connections.
From working with some of the most notable brands in the world – Nike, Chipotle, Taco Bell, Cadillac, and Under Armour to name a few – he has been able to produce around major sports and cultural moments including the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, College Football Kickoff, MLB All-Star, SXSW and NBA All-Star and has extensive experience pushing the limits of hyper-local marketing in major cities in the U.S.
Working in multiple functions during his time at Nike gave him the ability to collaborate with some of the most creative marketers and incredible communicators in the world. He's learned the nuances of developing and driving a plan while influencing leadership within a highly matrixed organization from various levels and geographies, as well as how to partner with all facets of a cross-functional team both internal and external.
When he’s not delivering top-notch brand campaigns, you can find him coaching lacrosse (reliving his glory days as a former player), serving on the Board of the National Society of Black Sports Professionals (Cincinnati Chapter) or managing his small ventures in the fitness and fashion industries.
